Ronald Graham
Founder & Managing Director · in the trade since 1983
Ronald founded Ronald G Graham Roofing & Building in 1996 and has spent four decades on Scotland's roofs — from tenement slate to the nation's heritage buildings.
Ronald began his career at Telford College in Edinburgh, qualifying as Apprentice of the Year in 1983. He then spent seven years gaining skills across the UK before founding Ronald G Graham Roofing & Building Ltd in 1996, serving Edinburgh and the Lothians from day one.
A Fellow of the Institute of Roofing (FIoR) with an Advanced City & Guilds in roofing, Ronald combines formal qualification with four decades of hands-on craft. His expertise runs across natural slate, lead work and heritage detailing — the skills Edinburgh's tenements, conservation areas and listed buildings demand.
Under Ronald's leadership the firm was named finalists in the 2020 UK Roofing Awards and went on to win an NFRC UK Roofing Award in 2021. Today the company is a second-generation family business of 25+ professionals, trusted by homeowners, factors, the NHS, Lothian Buses and the National Trust for Scotland — while Ronald still answers the phone.
