Roof report questions
How does the free roof report work?
Enter your address and we generate an instant desktop report from aerial imagery — your approximate roof area, number of roof planes, pitch and a satellite view — plus an AI read of what's visible on the roof. You can also upload your own photos for a closer look. It takes seconds and there's no obligation. For an exact, fixed price we follow up with a free on-site survey.
Is the roof report accurate?
It's a desktop estimate, not a survey. The measurements come from Google's aerial data and are approximate, and the AI can only comment on what's visible in the imagery — it can't see hidden timber, sarking, flashing details or the inside of the roof. Tenements and flats often return the whole building's roof rather than your share. Treat it as a useful starting point; a free Ronald G Graham survey gives you the definitive picture.
Can I upload photos of my roof?
Yes. If you have photos of a problem area — a slipped slate, a damp patch, a leaking flat roof or a chimney — add them and our AI will factor them into the report. Clear, well-lit photos give a much better read than aerial imagery alone, and they go straight to our team with your enquiry.
Does the report give me a price?
Where we can measure your roof from aerial data, the report shows an indicative re-roof cost band based on 2026 Scotland rates. It's a budgeting guide only — the real price depends on the covering, access, hidden repairs and detailing, which is exactly what a free survey establishes.
What happens to my details?
Your report and any photos come straight to our Edinburgh team so we can follow up with a free survey if you'd like one. We don't sell your data. You're never obligated to proceed.
